Cholesterol is a substance that is similar to fat and it is found in your blood. If there is too much in the blood, this usually builds up in your arteries. In time, the clucks build up and start to narrow the arteries, thus slowing the flow of your blood. The build up of can also block your arteries. Because, the blood takes oxigen to your heart, when the flow is blocked, oxygen can not reach your heart anymore. This is terrifying consequence of cholesterol. What this test of tells you are: total levels, LDL levels- the "bad " in your blood, the level of 'good ' cholesterol, which is the HDL and finally triglycerides level.
